Neil Walker offers specialist management of Hand and Wrist surgical conditions, with a focus on minimally invasive, modern procedures and, wherever possible, utilises the technique of Wide-awake surgery to minimise anaesthetic complications. This technique means you can often avoid a general anaesthetic for many conditions. If surgery is recommended, where appropriate he will always try safe and simple non-operative measures such as injections and hand therapy before surgery.

Almost all procedures can be performed as a day-case, meaning an overnight stay is rarely required.  Neil Walker uses clinical outcome scoring systems to monitor his patients’ conditions and progress. These ensure he continues to learn and improve his practice. Before your treatment you may be asked to complete a questionnaire. You may also be asked to complete questionnaires following your treatment. Mr Walker is very happy to guide you through this process. Committed to clinical excellence, Mr Walker hopes that the information collected will help to maintain his high standards of care.

Neil Walker is recognised by the major healthcare insurance companies.

Increasingly, patients without private medical insurance are opting to fund their own medical treatment in the private sector.

Following an initial consultation and subsequent investigations,  an individual management plan will be made.

Based upon this individualised assessment a fixed surgeon’s fee for any surgical treatment will be provided to you.
